Seattle, WA – Pacific Northwest Soccer Club (“PacNW”) and Olympic Soccer Academy Football Club (“OSA FC”) today announced a first-of-its-kind collaborative partnership to provide additional player development opportunities and grow the game of soccer in the Puget Sound region.
Under the arrangement, PacNW’s Directors of Coaching Roy Lassiter and Malia Arrant will coach the OSA FC men’s and women’s teams, respectively. The men’s team will compete in the National Premier Soccer League and the women’s team will play in the Women’s Premier Soccer League. Both teams will train and play their home games at the world-class Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila, and will take the field wearing kits that prominently feature PacNW’s distinctive club badge and maroon and light blue colors. The teams will also be known as the “PacNW-OSA FC” men’s and women’s teams.
In announcing the partnership, OSA FC Owner and General Manager Giuseppe Pezzano said, “I am very pleased to enter this partnership with Pacific Northwest Soccer Club. They are one of the top youth soccer clubs in the region and this opportunity will have a great impact on growing the culture of soccer in the Puget Sound region.” Pezzano added, “I am also hopeful that some of the club’s top youth players can train and possibly play in games with our men’s and women’s sides.”
“At PacNW we are always looking for opportunities to increase our player development efforts,” said PacNW Technical Director Leighton O’Brien. “Collaborating with OSA FC is really the next step in the evolution of our club.
